Extragalactic Research Group of students in Bangladesh
Photography by Shahadat H. Shahal.
We study the birth and growth of galaxies since Cosmic Dawn.
If you're interested in joining our group, follow these steps:
Read about our research Projects.
If you remain interested (yay!), proceed to the Launchpad.
When you have finished all the tutorials, contact Prof. Lamiya Mowla by email (contact in the homepage) for a meeting about research projects.
Pathway through BEE (one year+):
First Quarter (< 3 months): Begin your journey in astronomy and see if it's the right fit for you! Start by exploring the Onboarding Tutorial.
Second Quarter (< 3 months): Curious about doing research in astronomy? Dive deeper with our Launchpad Tutorial and discover whether research is something you enjoy and want to pursue further.
Third Quarter (> 6 months): Join us for an independent research project with our group! If you're thinking about graduate school, this is a great time to build experience and start preparing.
Fourth Quarter: If your research is going well and you're aiming to work toward a publication, you will be invited to continue as a Research Assistant (a paid position!) through the Center for Astronomy, Space Science and Astrophysics (in person or remote). This is a great opportunity to deepen your involvement and become an integral part of our research community.
